Chalk Paint is COOL!

It is an absolutely beautiful day here in Cypress, TX! A good day for a ride in the Jeep. What to do? Well... the only Annie Sloan stockest in Southeast Texas is in Missouri City, so ROAD TRIP!

If you are familiar with the Greater Houston Area,
you know that you can easily drive 75 miles across town and still be in "Houston." (Annie, Can I be a stockest too????)
Since Cypress is Northwest and Missouri City is Southwest,
it was only about 30 miles...

Well I get to Wonderfaux Studio and a sign on the door says they are open til 5 during the week and by appointment on Saturday. UHOHH... The lights are on, so I ring to doorbell. Lucky me, Michelle is in! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Michelle. We talked Round Top, paint techniques, blogging, etc.... When she became a stockest, she did not know the fabulousness of Chalk Paint. She said the boxes sat in a corner for 2 months before she realized what she had. She is not much into blogs (yet)
so she had missed the hype.

She showed me a kitchen cabinets she had painted with ASCP and took me back to the workshop. Sure enough, there were several cans out and being used! She was out of Old White so I bought
Country Grey and Chateau Grey.

Michelle, Thanks so much for the tour, the information, and for opening up!

All the way home, I mentally shopped my house. I had decided on a small table that sits in the master water closet.

I painted 2 coats of Chateau Grey.

Waxed and distressed.
And.... VOILA!

I think I am in LOVE!

Have a great weekend!
