Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

What???? While I am home for the summer, I have been working on signs for the fall craft shows. I get outside to sand, saw, and paint and it is pushing 100 degrees. But how I love Christmas! Here are a few of my newest signs…

“Noel” is painted on an upcycled cabinet door from Habitat for Humanity Restore. The door is solid wood and I can’t help but love that the sign is pre “framed”!

“Tree Farm” and “Baby” are painted on cedar fence pickets. This was may first time to paint on fence pickets. I had to work at making the vinyl stick to the boards even after painting the base coat. Oracle 631vinyl isn’t sticky enough. The 651 sticks better, but it still requires patience. I do love the outcome, though. Using the pickets lends a different look to the signs. I am thinking I will be painting more pickets in the near future!
I am taking custom orders for cabinet and picket signs. Email me at or find me on Facebook at
Have a great rest of the week! Love, Whyt

  1. Hi Whytney, Just pinned your tree sign onto my Just because it's pretty board! Thank you for sharng it at the Debbiedoo's party.

  2. Love all of your signs. I'm new to sign painting and I love it. I just finished a knockoff sign on my blog. I always wait till the last minute to start which is why I still don't have my pallet flag! I really should start on Christmas! Great job.

  3. I love the tree sign, well all of your signs actually. Pinning it.

  4. I love Habit for Humanity, too! You're signs are great, and a good reminder that it's about time to start working on the Fall craft show iventory. You are right, its really hard to do when it's 102 degrees outside!

  5. Love your signs! Pinning! I posted anchor dress to the party:)
